I would suggest a minimum of $25 for travel and then the $10 per notarized signature.<br /><br />It would be best for you to have a separate website to market your notary services. A separate website will give you a better chance to market yourself.<br /><br />Check the SOS manual for the exact fees you can charge for notarization.<br /><br />As regards the notarization for your friend, you will be notarizing his statement about his transcript. It looks like most notaries are charging for a basic signing $10 + travels as a standard.
