Today I had first. I was found on the internet by a gentleman who recently passed his bar exam and he needed to be sworn in by a notary to legally start practicing law.He missed the swearing-in ceremony at his school because he was out of town but thankfully the CA State Bar Association offers alternatives. One of the options was to be sworn in by a notary.
He read the Attorney's Oath:
"I solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of California, and that I will faithfully discharge the duties of an attorney and counselor at law to the best of my knowledge and ability."
After reading the oath I notarized his signature. It was quick and painless. It's always fun to find new ways to use my notary stamp.
