I blog because I have something to say. I have thoughts and ideas I want to express to the world. Because I feel this way, I assume most other bloggers do too.Blogging is another form of communication and we know that nothing is more ackward than to feel like you are talking to yourself. The only way to know someone is listening in the blogging world is by comments left on your blog. Whether the comment is long or short, it is always nice to know that someone in cyberspace is listening.
Next time you run across a quality blog why not take a moment to leave a comment? Not only are you making the writer feel good but you will also have the opportunity to leave your name and a link to your website, which will provide a free one-way link to your website (aka free promotion).
Happy commenting and blogging.

I agree 100%! I get tons of viewers, but only a handful of commentors. Gets sort of lonely sometimes! :-D
By the way, I really like your theme!
Agreed. If you don't have time to comment that's one thing, but if you are simply to lazy to comment what's the point of reading a blog? Surely people have opinions, why not voice them?
It would be rude of me not to comment now!
I agree, people should stop off and say hello, or offer their opinions if they have enjoyed the post.
It is only good manners, don't you know!
I agree, nice post and pretty theme!
Hey, nice place you got here. I noticed that you are only allowing anonymous or Google/Blogger comments, there is no way for me to leave my non-Blogger homepage. I'm pretty sure you could fix that, and a lot of us won't leave comments if we are on Wordpress, or Typepad, or whatever. It just isn't the same leaving an anonymous comment.
See ya

I find it odd that your article on commenting on blog articles has 16 Zooms on BloggingZoom (17 with mine), but only four people (five with me) have bothered to actually comment on your site.
There's just no figuring some people out.
You are right, everybody says commenting is good, then they all go and comment on big blogs, hoping that they will catch some attention. This is how it comes that smaller blogs with interesting content get barely any comments.
Please don't get upset, but commenting on blogger blogs is very annoying for me. For example, now I cannot even find a place where I can write my email address and my blog, and there's no way to subscribe to comments. Too bad, because this forces me either to bookmark the site and come back later, or to forget even that I've ever commented.
But in your case, I'll bookmark the blog because I like it (and your theme is wonderful)
So true Jason...17 zooms, 5 comments :)
I love commenting when I have time, as a blogger, it makes me feel like people are reading and are interested in what I'm doing.
Thank you to everyone for your comments. All of the comment love is so nice.
Tim, I don't what's going on with the comments in blogger because my settings are to allow all comments. Something has been amiss the past couple of days.
simonne, no offense taken. I eventually want to move over to Wordpress. I want it to be as easy as possible for my readers to comment.
jason, you will never be able to figure some people out. It's one of things that makes you say hmmmmm....
lynne, I'm glad you like my theme. I was instantly drawn to it when I saw it.
A Blog about Nothing, thank you for voicing you're opinion. It was very much appreciated.
Mike Olbinski, thanks for the compliment on my theme. I'm glad you took the time to drop by and comment.
Lord Likely, your good manners are appreciated. Your mom taught you well. :)
It's possible some readers want to say something, but don't - because someone already said something similar. Or, perhaps they want to just say "I liked your post," but don't want to sound silly for saying just that. About 10% of my daily readers leave comments. I wish it were more. I love hearing directly from them, and then interacting with them via comments.
Love your theme!
